i need to know how long a pictus cat fish grows and how many gallons one needs and if there's any other fish i could put in a 10 gallon tank.:headbang2:

If you like catfish, some madtoms and I believe some of the smaller Corydoras species (cory cats) may be kept in a ten gallon.

yeah 10 is way too small. i have mine with my 2 goldfish in a 30 gallon

ok ill look in to it but i dont think my pet store has those fish any more suggestions

Check out this thread: http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152366&page=2

Guppies and mollies are good schooling fish for a ten gallon; some tetras will also do well in a ten. If you want a specimen fish, a betta or one of the smaller gouramis is good. Also consider shrimp and mystery snails.

*EDIT* Sorry, I was typing at the same time as JPappy. Good suggestions, but I don't think otos are a good choice for a novice fishkeeper.

danios are fun
