Hi guys...

I'm in the process of cycling a quarantine tank. I'm 2 weeks in but how will I know when it's fully cycled?

Thanks.

After you get an ammonia spike you should see the level come down followed by a raise and eventual spike in nitrite. The same thing happens again with nitrite and once the nitrate level spikes the tank is cycled...

are you doing a fishless cycle? if so it's when your tank can process 3ppm of ammonia in 8-10 hours consistantly.

do you have another tank besides the one for quarantine?

I was wondering this as well, if you do, transfer some cycled media to the qt filter to speed up your cycle. In the future (if you have another tank) you could always run the qt filter on the display tank for 2 weeks or so to seed the filter.
