How do I get rid of dark green algae?

Agreed.
It would be easier to recommend a course of action if we could positively identify it as BGA, or not.
 
Hi! I'm a "she!"
And, yes, I will take a photo.
In the meantime, I scrubbed my rocks. That seems to have helped. Also tried the light off for a few days. But, the algae is still having fun on the glass tank.

No, I won't use chemicals.

I'll shoot the photo tomorrow.
