If I wrap mesh around a rock and anchor some java moss cliping underneath and put the rock in a glass jar on my window seal and add some excel will it grow?

Java moss is like a weed. I've taken driftwood with java moss out of my tank in Oct, thrown it in a plastic container in the garage with water in it, to keep the wood soaked. The following spring, after the driftwood has sat in the freezing garage for months, the moss is still green and alive. I've had rocks with dried moss on it spring back to life in a tank also.

You can also use it as a carpet, it works great, the only downside is that it takes like 1 hour to properly plant it in a 10 gallon tank. U also have to prune a lot. :)

yep it will grow. i have had completely dried up java moss spring back to life on a piece of driftwood i resubmerged

how do u attach the java moss to drift wood? with mesh?

I attach it with some string that matches the color of the driftwood or u can use any string u want
I have never tried mesh but using it will also probably work.
