I just bought a Japanese moss ball for my betta/shrimp tank. Do you think if I buy one for my goldfish tank, the fish will eat the moss ball?

:iagree:

Any delicate plant/algae will be eaten by goldfish. Even some tougher plants species will get beat up by them. The goldfish will probably really enjoy it though.

They do like expensive snacks.

maybe, only one way to find out. most of my goldies have left live plants alone.

Moss balls tend to be one of the plants that seem to work out better for most people.

If your goldfish get the right diet they are much less likely to bother any plants.

Some will, depending on the rest of the diet and how much they are fed.

They will eat algae too though.

But yes, moss balls are one of the last things most goldfish will touch and are a great addition to a goldfish tank.
