Goldfish and Powerhead filter ?

HOF Filter and canister filter

If the HOF and canister are rated for a 55g, then both filtration and water movement will be well taken care of. KISS (keep it simple stupid), not calling you stupid but you want an easy to maintain aquarium and you have it. You don't need a power head at all, just alternate filter cleanings. The only issue I foresee is you may want to add more goldfish, in that case, keep in mind that goldfish grow pretty large and 2 in a 55 would be plenty. There are other cold water species that are less taxing on your filtration so research and enjoy.

You don't get it, i said i will chose one of those filter between Powerhead filter , HOF , Canister filter.. Second , of course i would not add more than 2 goldfish.. it will make very many ammonia and much more problem inside the aquarium.

PS , I Love Goldfish than all my other fish.. and i just bought 3 Goldfish Comet inside small aquarium about 10gal because their size only like 2inches and i'm going to move them inside 70g Aquarium soon.. So i can get the goldfish lifespan 20 years.. Thanks for your advice.

You will need a much bigger tank than a 70 gal for 3 comets....

From this response I didn't realize you were making a choice. Since this is the case, opt for the canister. Get one rated for 100 gallons and pack with extra bio media, you won't be sorry. AquaClear makes a Quick Filter attachment for their power head for added filtration. My main concern, as always, is for the fish and again veil tail goldfish aren't designed to swim against a strong current. Air stones and the like provide a much gentler current and add a decorative element but if you opt for a power head, the output should be diverted toward the side or rear of the tank.
