hey guys.

i saw these in my lfs and i would like to know a minimum tank size for one male and one female and how big they get, temperment, the best diet for them and yadda yadda yadda. any info would be muchly appreciated. (the websites i've been too seem confused lol)

ps. the female looked a bit thin and scrawny... any ideas on why that would be?

Min tank size is 5 gallons. please puchase atleast 2 females for the male...they breed like rabbits and the female needs a break. The female may look scrawny due to laying all of her eggs.

If you need any more info just ask. Killifish are cool.

The best diet is live food - baby brine shrimp, daphina, black worms, small earth worms if you want eggs...other wise frozen is good.
Use a high quaility flake if you have to atleast 50% protein.

if i had alot of plant cover would i female be ok or would i need two? would two females and a male fit in a 5 gallon? they are quite long for a five gallon, thats all.

so if it was egg laying that made her skinny she would soon fatten up again... yes? they are mega kool looking fish!!!!!
