Gold Saum Vs Green terror

i want to clear up this misunderstanding ounce if for all.

i had made a mistake on another post here and also want to clear that up. The green terror is the same as a gold saum but a white saum is just a color morph. ive seen many people say gold saums are different the green terror, i dont know when this rumor started but even some of the best cichlid keepers say this, study's show this to be untrue as any goggled site will tell you. now the Blue Acara (Aequidens pulcher) is sold under the name Green Terror and i think this is where the misunderstanding began. but i want to make sure you all know that a Green Terror is in fact the same as a Gols Saum.

My understanding is there are 3 species of "Green terrors"

Aequidens sp. "Gold Saum" The false green terror, or gold saum
Aequidens sp. "Silbersaum" (or Silversaum) The True green terror which is very rarely imported

And to confuse things more, there's also the Red Saum going around, which may very well be just a gold saum, or perhaps a whole new species... The genus Aequidens needs to be revised yet.

:iagree:He got the names of the ones I could not think of,lol.And I think the pics nano cichlid posted are both gold saums.One is a juvi,and the other an adult.
