i have 2 ghost catfish in my 2 ft tank but i don't know how to get the food down to them! queer as it may seem to you, everyday i try to put some worms down for them to eat, they get snatched up by the molly or the guppies or the neon tetras or else the fall at the bottom without the glass catfish knowing and get eaten by the cories! can someone suggest anything? i tried using the plastic cone feeder but they won't come to the surface to eat. they will only eat IF the food happen to float their way!

Try feeding at one end of the tank, and then when everyone is eating at that end, feed the ghosts at the other. I wouldn't worry about it too much, it seems like the little they are getting is enough.
NJ Devils Fan: i tried that but that darn molly just darts everywhere and of course like every other fish prefer live worms to the pellets i was feeding on the other side!

CHINABOY1021: i tried what you said and brought the food literally in front of them and had to fend of the other fishes while trying to feed the glass fish! it was indeed a funny sight but at least they got their food!

i had the same problem but i found out that if you turn out the lights (and maybe wait for you other fish to go to sleep) the ghost cats will swim around like any other fish. thats when i feed them.
i use two simple methods, depending on who I am feeding.
1. use a long pippette or eyedropper to deposit the morsels directly in front of the the fish in need, while distracting everyone else with flake food.
2. wait a half hour after the lights are off, and drop the food in the vicinity of the nocturnal feeder (knifefish)

i did use a pipette as cpr4cpu suggested not only can i bring the food in front of them so they will eat now, i can also use it to gently fend off the other fishes will these royal highnesses get their food! thanks for all your help!

ever. the guy at my lfs said he's been unable to keep glass cats for more than six months before they die, and I've had mine for 1 1/2 years... and what's odd is my cats are fairly active, and they have no problem getting their share in my 20 gal tank, and I feed strictly flake food except for the bloodworms I feed directly to my dwarf frogs... when feeding the frogs, I use a turkey baster, and maybe that's the way to feed your cats...
