GE Silicone II for tank sealing

I always figured the ones to immediately avoid would be the bathroom/tub versions where they're subjected to moisture daily. A window only gets wet when it rains!

I have read many things regarding silicone 2. Some people have had success using it, others have said to have a tank crash or lose fish.

I would think good filtration would take out any cides or chemicals ater a few days..I have used many silicon brands all marked 100% silicon and have not had a problem..

Good point make sure you keep up on changing your carbon in your filter and that should pull a lot of those chemicals out
.

This tank was to be a non-planted, so I'm hoping things will work out fish-wise. It is extemely frustrating to see that this product doesn't have the "mildewcide" labeled. Why isn't that infomation they'd choose to let us know?

and Coach, not sure where your coming up with mildacide?.....merriam-webster online shows it as "mildewcide" That being said, I hope you're right about it not killing us.....OR fish!
I used to be a sales rep.
One of my products was antimicrobials mildacides and other various biocides.

They also have silicone 1 in black too but it's hard to find. It's also noteworthy the GE silicone 1 says not to be used in aquariums but they lie.

Usually it's best to look up products on line because sometimes products don't tell the full truth on the packaging.
