Just wondering whether anyone has tried out the software to get free satellite tv on your computer? I saw it advertised in the local newspaper last week, and it's listed by about a half-dozen or more sellers on e-bay, anywhere from $1-6 for an "instant download". It sounds somewhat interesting, but what good is watching tv programs from around the world in dozens of different languages you can't understand?

sounds like a scam to me...

no it works.... here in canada they have dif box's you buy and plug in and download whatever T.V provider you want...

There are many ways to get "free" tv.. unfortunately it never is truely free. I used to hack DirecTV for years.. until I got threatened with a lawsuit by them. Just not worth it. There are also FTA (Free to Air) receivers you can buy that work somewhat.. but there is always updates to be done and you end up spending more time updating and reconfiguring than actually watching TV.

ya in canada you cant buy us satelite feeds( says canadaian gov't ),but they are traveling thru the air anyway.... they sell the boxes at all the flea markets, they are known as grey market because they are selling you a blank box, whatever you do with it is up to you..........

The software you are talking about is totally legal.. its not a hack or a scam to get free TV.. it acctually works but the thing is.. when you get it installed- it gives you a list of about 3000 channels that you have to go through.. they are wierd feeds and mostly just local channels and things like that from all over the world-- it really hard to find an acctual show worth watching.. mostly just news and things in random languages... and most of the channels are black 90% of the time and you can only see them when they do pbs broadcasts
