Fish Tuberculosis?

I've since done a little more searching and reading, and internal parasites are definitely a possibility. Would explain the fish getting thinner, glacing off objects, and the odd stringy poops they have had off and on.

I'm wondering if praziquantel would be as effective as panacur? Hikari makes a product for aquariums called PraziPro that is supposed to be effective treatment for flukes, tapeworms, flatworms, turbellarians, and can be used as a preventive. Plus it doesn't affect the biofilter. Has anyone got experience with this product? Could I use that and alternate with a dose of metro soaked food to treat internal parasites?

Prazipro frankly is junk. Its a very weak solution of Prazi, and really doesn't do much good at all. Hikari usually has good stuff but that isn't one of them. You can start the metro for now, and order the Panacur, both are extremely safe for the fish, won't harm the biofilter, and are both very effective, thats why've suggested them.

Being up north you might want to get hold of Barb at http://www.Canadadiscus.com and see if she has any Panacur that you could get from her.

Thanks for all your help, NatakuTseng! I will start with the metro first...andI'll look into getting the panacur...and will definitely contact Barb if I have trouble finding it. :)
