there is a new store in asheville called the asheville aquarium, it seems to be a good place and the owner is really friendly, not sure exactly where it is located though.
in hendersonville there is fish 'n pets near the fresh market, past downtown. their tanks are pretty rough looking, but the fish are in good condition and they have a nice variety.

WNC Aquarium and Imports is near the huge Ingles in Fletcher.
It's just down from it heading towards Arden and Skyland on the left side of the road next to a Asian restaraunt.
I've been to Everything Fishy now that you mention it- really nice place. That's the one on Tunnel Road right and used to be in the Innsbruck Mall?
And I've been to some of the chain stores (like Pet Supermarket)
I'll have to go check out the Asheville Aquarium.
Sounds like it's next to Sams Club.
And Fish and Pets might get a visit too.

asheville aquarium is alright, they have some nice fish, but they have 30g tanks with around 30 fish or more in some of them.. freakin way over stocked. They do have some very nice wood there for decent prices if you are wanting wood, they have malaysian and something else.
