Feeding pictus catfish?

They will eat them, and do so with gusto. Pictus will generally eat anything that fits in their mouth, and their mouths are huge. If you put guppies in eventually they will start dissapearing, as will snails, shrimp, and worms.

you will probably never see the pictus eat them though, like the poster above stated they will just start to disappear over night. i had 2 for a few years and never saw them do much more than nibble a shrimp pellet.

That is absolutely true. The only time I ever get to see my pictus feed heavily is if I add brine shrimp to the tank. They will go frenzy for brine shrimp. otherwise the food is just gone in the morning, and my pictus cats get fat.
