favorite platy type

whats your favorite type of platy? mine fav is blue tuxedo. my male has red-brown blue on him, and the female, good blue. :clap:

I've got some 'Gold Batman' platys - they're a gorgeous sunny yellow with a black pattern near their tail that resembles the batman mask, similar to the way 'Micky Mouse' platys have a pattern resembling the Disney Micky Mouse caps. They're probably the prettiest platys I've seen, I adore them

Ive got a pair of mm platys with bright yellow tails, orangish/red top fins, and a blue sparkle on their bodies. The mm design by the tail also shines blue at the right angles.

What about platies that are just solid orange? What are they called?

My lfs only carries wag tail platies and tuxedo, and a few solid colored ones, but no blue ones.

My favorite is the Black Helmet Platy! We have a pair and the "black" shines rainbows of gold, blue, and green. Gorgeous!

solid orange ones are just orange platies. and ive seen blue tuxedo platies, they're blue-black sides with white bellies and backs.

The solid orange may be the sunset/red platys. Are they a deep orange red with little or no other colouration? They do tend to change to more yellow near the tail. My female just gave her first birth to a dozen, very comical little guys.
