Do clown Killifish really only live a year?

One of the best ways to get them, is to have eggs sent to you from someone in American Killifish Assn.
I would imagine there are killifish breeders in one of your local clubs, members here in Milwaukee bring fry to almost every meeting.
The eggs are easily sent in very small packages, you put the eggs in water. where they quickly hatch, and they grow very quickly.
In fact some killis (such as the Lake Tanganyka killi( Lamprichthys tanganicanus)) die if lifted for only seconds out of water, and are really only available by getting and hatching eggs.

The Pachypanchax playfairi in the pic above is only about 40 days old (from hatch).

Clown Killies are great with their shiny blue eyes! I kept a bunch for a bit. They're pretty hardy overall too. Be sure to keep a lower water level or tight lid because they jump
