What kind of corys stay pretty small about 2-2.5 in at the most?

Pandas

Panda corys. Pygmy corys (corydoras pygmaeus) stay even smaller, like just under an inch.

pygmaes stay very tiny. Word of caution with getting them: watch any water intake or powerhead crevices. They will easily get sucked into them and die.

Other than that, they're lovely little guys.

My pygmies sometimes hang out directly under the intake cup thing of my Aqua-tech 5-10 HOB filter. The intake is not wide open but had sort of a vented cover to suck in water and bits of things, but not bigger decaying plant leaves or adventrous snails or weak pygmy cories. I've had the cories since September 2006; see picture at left. The largest one is maybe 3/4" long with the other two being about 1/2", all unchanged in size for months now.

I have albinos in my 5.5 and they are staying small.

that's because they're in a 5.5.

I have had 5 Julii Corydoras in my 60g for nearly 5 years. They are no bigger than 1".
