Is there some kind of connector to attach a hose to the shower or something in the bathroom, so I can fill up and Aquarium with 30 trips of buckets?

Yep..easiest is a Python style water changer...or DIY by taking your aerator off, bring it with your hose to the hardware store and have them hook you up with what you need...

Thanks. I just saw a converter at home depot, for 40$, kind of expensive for 1 use, unless I return it. But if I can hook a hose to my extended showerhead then that would be nice and cheap

you can buy an adapter for a waterbed changer at furniture stores. You can attach it to your faucet and it can suck water out and put it back in. it'll just cost you a garden hose and about $10 for the adapter. the problem is that the part that screws into the faucet is plastic, so eventually, you will have problems keeping the adapter on the faucet. I know there are pythons made for aquariums that have metal threading on them with a gravel vac at the end. Thats my next buy

Python all the way. I know its a little pricey but it is so convenient and saves so much time on water changes its not even funny. Once you have it you will never use anything else to do a water change. Well, maybe the portal guns but that's a stretch. lmao

when i filled my 46 i connected a camper hose to my kitchen sink using a faucet adapter i got at my homebrew shop for about $6. laid a small bowl in substrate, put the measured dechlor in the bowl and filled up. worked like a charm.

$40? for that price you can get

and if needed

Or you can get this. It screws into most faucets and then a standard garden hose will screw onto the other end.

but the top thing will also allow you to do water changes and clean the gravel without buckets. The second link is just an extension to make the hose total 45ft. I have the system and extension and it works great.

But if your only concern is filling the tank, the last link will allow you to simply attach a garden hose to your sink. (it also comes with the top link)

I would strongly recommend against buying a plastic faucet adapter. It's bad enough that they give them to you with most pre-assembled water changers.

Here's a link to a metal adapter for the same price:

So David, you mentioned needing it for filling an aquarium, and that $40 was too much for a one time use. What are your plans with whatever you get? Are you only going to use it for filling the tank a single time, or do you plan to re-use it for doing water changes as well?
