I have a Chinese Algae Eater with nine Cories and they get along great. The CAE loves to hang out with my Cories. I don't know if that would be the same in every situation.
please remember that all fish of a species are not the same; in fact, they can vary greatly from fish to fish.
also, consider the changes that may occur as the fish ages...
and the stocking limits of a given tank...not sure if you have to wory about that, your post was rather vague, but look at every angle and then decide.
Some people have had trouble with CAEs becoming too aggresive when they grow larger. But there are also some that theirs didn't become aggressive and all. So maybe it depends on the individual? If your gonna go with this then maybe just keep a close eye on them to find out. :dive2:

when my cae was small, it would shoal with the cories i had. when it got larger, it got territorial and would chase the cories away. generally, if you have enough space, the territoriality becomes a minimal issue. my cae had his region and the cories roamed everywhere else. the cae never actually injured any of my other fish. it was more he would dart out and kind of head butt any fish that got too close to his area of the tank.
