we have 2 pinks and they both do bottom and top feeding. they will fight with the others for the brine shrimp, and they actually will eat cichlid pellets. how long has your pink been in your tank? we have had ours for 5 weeks and when there is no food they will scavenge around the whole tank. so if you have had your pink for only a little while give it time. it will come around as ours did. and as they got used to us they now stick their little faces up against the glass looking so cute and pleading feed us LOL. but they did come around after they felt comfortable in the tank and believe it or not the other cichs stay out of their way. :joe:
thats okay. not unless someone else has imput. i have had blue gouramis and grey gouramis (which arent around anymore)the greys arent around anymore... and they were all top feeders too. had both of those for over 3 years.
HA! My 2 dwarf gouramis are such HOGS they devour the flakes, steal the pelletes and spend the rest fo the pecking at the gravel and plants! Sometimes their bellies get fat!
I have since found a better way of feeding the entire tank (so everyone gets some food), and it has eliminated their fat bellies! They are still HOGS though!
I have a pair of lavender gouramis that are such pigs...1st they eat what floats...2nd they take what drifts into the plants...then they steal algae wafers from the pleco's...
