I just noticed that 2 of my kribensis are chasing each other.
I am treating for ICH at the moment, so I've been adding salt. Has this triggered spawning?
Their bellys have gotten alot more pinker.
I am not sure if they are breeding or fighting Please help!!!
They are in a community tank and I have never bred these before so I am panicking as you may have guessed!!! :uhoh:

Right now two of the 3 kribs in the tank are hiding behind the heater as the other one swims around the tank but not far from the heater.

Heres a link to a video:

HELP!!

Sounds like they're fighting for dominant male status...either that or maybe mating. Definitely sounds like a bid for supremacy though. Wait it out I suppose.

Do you have any cavelike hiding place, near the bottom of your tank?

If not you should put one. Kribs (or any bottom dwelling cichlid) will always love a little cave.

Then if they want to make a pair, it will be the obvious place for them to defend.

They will love it, and it will help you see what theyre up too socialy.

Anything will work, I stacked flagstone, and made caves inside. Its cool, I cant wait to get a good camera in here and show you guys!

But anything that makes a small cavelike area, with only one way in and out.

I always find a creative cheap way to decorate, rather than spending 20$ for one little plastic piece from a petstore.

I actually made a thread labled <Save Bucks on Setup> That tells what I got for my current tank.

Looks like two females fighting video wasn't long enough but i thought i seen a male to the right side of the tank def add rock piles creating caves like was said above if not they will harass each other to the point of disease or death..
