Angelfish turning shiny silver in some places???

just got back from dentist, i had a surgery. I can't really do anything except sit for 8 hours. I will have pics by tonight.

^, Now I get what you are saying. But, when I am around(close to the tank), I can see that she/he comes up to the tank right below the auto feeder in hopes of some food. It only stays at the sides of the tank like early in the morning(about 1 hour after turning on lights), and then after lights are off. In between, i do see her at the sides sometimes. I don't think she is a female.(IDK for sure). My other angels(have 2 more, 1 died 2 weeks ago), are perfectly fine. They are about 8-10 months old right now. In 1 of the other 2, i can see here bulging kind of as if she has eggs, as her belly seems bigger than the other angels. I will try to get pics of all of them once I get back from the dentist.

^, and if she is trying to disgorge, wouldn't I see eggs?

thanks

That is when they usually do it, in the morning. At least for most fish. But it's just a theory.

If another died two weeks ago maybe it is parasite. Or maybe they made love a little too violently and she got chased to death.

As far as I know it's almost completely impossible to tell whether they are male or female unless they actually drop eggs. But sometimes the eggs get stuck.

I don't know. Like I said just a theory. Could also be general bullying, or else some disease. If he/she gets listless I assume disease.

the one that died 2 weeks back just got stuck in the filter, as the intake came off and it went in to explore, and tore apart in the impeller.

Now, I can only see it on one side, but the other side still has patches. I think it just might be color. The color is also near its gills, but looks perfect. I will get pics tomorrow.

^Really, I think that is what it is. It looks beautiful. Thanks. Phew, what a relief, and now I am happier, as I hope my adult koi will breed, and then get some more babies with glitter.

thanks for all the replies you guys
