Hi fellow members,
I have a 6 gallon eclipse tank with 5 neons and one apple snail and 3 ghost shrimps. The tank has been up and running for 4 months now and I do weekly water change (~50%). So far the tank looks great and water parameters seem to stay zero for everything (I have some anacharis growing) and pH is around 6.8. Last week I went to petsmart to get more ghost shrimps and almost instantly fall in love with albino corys. Those guys were so cute. Petsmart person even recommended me to get one, but I overcame my urge and didn't do impulse buy.
After I came back home, I did some googling + aquaria centraling :-), and they seem to be schooling fish, so if I were to get them I need at least 3-4.

But, since I just really love those guys and can't help but thinking about them all the time, is there any way I can have one or two of those guys in my tank (of course without upgrading)? Have any of you guys had any success with it? I would really appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! albino cories are so cool, i had 3 of them in my 29 and they were fine but one got sucked in the filter (biocube is meant for saltwater and the filter is strong), one got burnt in the heater, and the other just died i dont remember it was a long time ago.

they are so worth it, i say you go back to petsmart and get them now!! haha, 2-3 should be fine, i had one for 2 months and he was fine

First of all, thats great to hear that you petsmart didn't con you into buying one for a 6g! I was definitely conned by some of the bigger named pet stores before I started researching every fish I got before getting them. That would have been a mistake IMO to get them. To be comfortable, they really need to be with others, i'd say at least 3-4. And IMO a 6 is WAY too small for 3-4 albino cories.

i have an albino corey and it does alright with out others but im not sure if its because it schools with my upside down cats

Deffinately get a bigger tank if you want them. Really, I'd get a bigger tank for the neons anyway, maybe keep a betta in the 6 gallon.

Albino Cories= Corydoras aneus, Bronze Cory, reaches about 4''
or could be Paleatus, you could keep 5-6 i there, but no way to tell

is this a rectangular tank? I think its too small for the aneus cories. They are really really active. That being said, see if you can find some pygmy cories, habrosus are my favorites but there are multiple types out there. They might be possible in your tank, definitiely if you upgraded to a 10g.
