what is the difference besides the names? i have an EBA Cichlid, but at the pet store today that i have never gone to before for fish, i saw just Ahli Cichlid on the aquarium. they look the same, so what is the difference?

They are the same fish. Electric Blue is short for Ahli, which is also known as Sciaenochromis Fryeri. There are different breeds of Ahlis. It is hard to find true Fryeri in the hobby today.
ahlis are more or less agressive? as far as i can tell, my ahli is a lot meaner and more dominant then my JD.
Yes, Ahlis are among some of the most aggressive Africans. They are probably really aggressive because they are in a 29 gallon.
but unless the JD or other fish come near him, he is really mellow, but always moving around in his "territory" in the tank.
also, right now my ahli has this ick on his forehead, and i added "ick be gone" stuff and it never went away. is there anything else i can do for him?
i do regular water changes and he is very active, but all along his forehead and parts of his back he has spots of algae-looking material.
