can those be used as a fish pondish type thing? its got two wheels to move and such, was wondering if its doable for fish?

usually they are not water tight if they have wheels. or some even have small holes to let water drain in case of rain

hmm true true. was going to set it up outside and put a heater in there and have some convicts in there for the winter to see how that works

if its water tight and you have a powerful enough heatergo for it

Proper garbage bins and trash cans shouldn't have any holes because that would defeat the purpose of being able to hold trash.

If you inspect it and its water tight, wrapping the trash can in some shipping blankets or any other type of insulation and then a layer of plastic over that will help keep the heat in and the water out. A 200w heater would be strong enough to keep the water warm and a nice air pump would keep the water oxygenated and moving. Should be a fun project.

Considering you live in wisconsin, leaving it outside with fish in it seems like a bad idea. You're going to need a large heater and water movement to keep the water from freezing. Dont waste your time.

:iagree:Ya LOL in Wisconsin? No way!!

maybe i wont. but only thing i worry about is the wheels, will the wheels have any effect on the wieght of the garbage bin?

Well thats 400 lbs of water, so if you think those skinny axles will hold thtat weight go for it. And if you enjoy your fish frozen, and dead, then go for it.

Hey Freak - Dude, put a shirt on and put down yer jug, you live in Wisconsin. The only way yer gonna have fish in a garbage can outside in winter is if it was left overs from Friday nights dinner or your fixin to go ice fishin!!! ;-)
The wheels don't matter!
