My 29g tank is finally getting some scaping done to it as soon as my driftwood and plants arrive but the only thing I don't have is lights.
The plants I will have are some vals, moss(java, and fire later on), crypts, swords, ect. Mostly low-moderate lighting plants. Would 2wpg suffice? I would really like to see some growth in the plants. I have some plants growing in my 3gal eclipse that are doing ok with growth.
Anyways. I don't want to do the CPF. I would really love to get http://www.fishneedit.com/t5ho-ligh.html a light off here but the only problem is my aquarium is 30" long and the light is only 24" and would really only bring me to about 1.6wpg. I imagine I would have dark spots of atleast 3" on both sides if I went with that light.
Does anyone know if Nova's are good lights? I've seen people talk about them. Some say they are super noisy but others say they are just fine.
I was looking at the 30" http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=16770 Nova but again I would really only be getting 1.6wpg... but this would actually fit my tank.
Anyone else have any other solutions?
