Just a quick update. The tank is maturing really well. Every time I look in it I find more fry hiding in the rocks. I think I'm a little under-filtered though so hopefully here when I find some extra cash I'd like to add a high power canister filter to go with my wet/dry sump.
I pretty much gave up on doing gravel vacs though. At first I tried but with the rocks and such it's pretty much useless. It's been over a month since the last gravel vac and to be honest the tank looks better than I when I was trying to do them.
Had a slight green algae problem. I cut the lights back to 8 hours a day instead of 12 and it cleared up quite nice. The golden algae eater is getting huge. He's prolly 8" already. I may to start looking for a new home for him. Between him and the pleco the rocks stay pretty bare of algae. I'll post some pics when I get a chance. Things have been hectic around the house.
