Seachem Stability

I use this product after my weekly water changes.
I also used it to cycle my tank, had it cycled within a couple of days. Added fish to tank after 24 hours and lost none.

I use it in conjunction with Seachem Prime, Flourish and Cichlid Trace. Excellent product

But did you test the water at all after adding the fish? Just because none of the fish died doesn't mean that the tank didn't have to cycle. Also, if the tank has cycled, there is no reason to add a product like this after water changes. I'm sure it doesn't hurt anything other than your wallet, but I don't like to spend money on products that aren't necessary.

pretty much it is used for completeing a 28-30 day cycle in 7-10 days. the label says that it rapidly establishes the biofilter preventing "new tank syndrome". I use it to start my 29 two weeks ago, and I've added 15 fish already and my water condition is Perfect. I vote it a good, safe product.

I have used it several times and I believe it is a good product that does what it says. I cycled a tank in 3 days, added fish. Fine. I also add a couple of capfuls when I do water changes.

Every day for 7 days, once in the morning, once in the evening, not one major spike, ammonia went to 0.5 and that was it but only for 2 days, then back to 0. Tested for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph, gh, kh all were spot on. Now I test every Sat and still no problems

I agree with that method, used it many times myself!

I dunno, I've never used Stability so I can't comment on how well it works. I can say I'm surprised to see actual numbers from Waynecav that appear to mean a cycled tank in a week. I was under the impression that none of the non-refrigerated products like Cycle or Stability really worked at all, and that the only bacteria starter with any degree of dependability is BioSpira. Well, I know Cycle is crap, and I know that BioSpira can really be hit or miss, so that's what surprises me about your accounts of success with Stability. Still, it certainly isn't needed after water changes once the tank is established. They just put that on the bottle so you'll keep buying it.

I still like the free method (seeding with filter media) if it is available to you... tried and true, works every time.:)

my problem was that when I set up the 29, the 10 was so out of whack that I didn't want to have anything to do with the 10's problems in the 29g. I acquired the 10 from another and it was not maintained at all. matter of fact, I've had it a while, and it's just now starting to get close. The stability had the 29 going in no time. I'm going to use it again.
