hello all, i had a peppered cory in a 29 gal. community tank that just died. don't know if he starved to death. 2 platies, 2 green tiger barbs, 2 female bettas, i blue gourami, 1 flame gourami and a cae. any ideas?

First of all, he could have died of lonelyness because Cories need to be in groups.

What were you feeding him?

What is your temp and water params?

What size tank?

Is died of loneliness real? lol...

I would blame the tiger barbs or it just died... sometimes fish just up and die.

But do you tiger barbs not pick on your gourami or bettas? You should have at least 6 of them IMO or they will pick on other fish.

Yep, Corydoras have been known to die of lonelyness. Its true.

Well, did it sit around moping in a corner? Did it socialize much with the other fish? Im guessing he was lonely on the bottom, because aren't your other fish middle to top dwellers in your tank?
