dwarf puffer and bumblebee goby mix????

I have a lil dwarf puffer in my tank.....i was wondering if they mix well with bumblebee gobies.....

My lfs only had one dwarf puffer left and if i put in several gobies, will the puffer get terrorized by the gobies cuz its alone???

Will it also eat any live snails even if the snails are larger than the fish itself?? I dont want to dump in a few snails and then find out that they didnt eat the snails and have a huge population of them

The puffer and gobies will likely mix, but the gobies will need BW eventually, and the puffer is FW.

My dwarves will go after any snails, but they can't kill some kinds and sizes. Baby MTS were toast, while the adults were generally safe. Pond snails of all sizes are goners. I keep the MTS, since the help root through the substrate, and feed the puffers at the same time. Without a huge amount of waste to feed on, snails will not overrun a tank.

Not true, some bumblebee gobies are 100% freshwater. There are multiple species sold as bumblebee gobies, and some are fully freshwater.

A DP will likely kill a bumblebee gobie. Your best bet for another fish would be an oto catfish.

No, the bumblebee gobies will get attacked by the DP's eventually. You could get 2-3 DP's in a DENSELY PLANTED (they need a lot of plants/hiding spots or else there will be trouble) 10 gallon. You could get 1 DP and a couple of oto catfish without a problem.

yes some puffers can be aggressive and nippy, but if they will attack a bbg they will be just as likely to attack an otto cat. I have a successful set up of 2 DP's and 2 BBG in a 10 and they get along peacefully, if anything the BBG are more aggressive towards the DP's than the other way around. They get a little...pushy when it comes to food, i've seen the BBG take a bw from the mouth of my puffer. My tank is heavily planted and has little mini flower pots for the BBG to have as caves.
