Nice pics as usual!

How much smaller is the yellowish fish? Both top & bottom fins look shorter & rounded. There's only so far males can go to pretend to be female. But "she" should be yellower by now I think...

jake may be right about the differences of the variations. He's very experienced with some of the possibilities...& his "opals" are different...
About 3/4 the size of the male, significantly smaller.

Can see her size compared to the acorn cap on the right lol

Added a piece of wood to behind the tank, gives an illusion of more depth.

All the fish come out during water changes

All 15 cories out at once, zoomed in picture so i wouldnt spook them.

Love the corys, of course, & the behind the tank stick does look good. I'm sorry to say the first sponge is now looking sorta spit-like. Is the new sponge different or just different wood & lighting? Anyway, they're cool!

The apistos look nice. The "female-ish" 1 seems more chubby in a girly way, anal fin to tail; the dorsal & anal fins seem pointy but still shorter than the male's. "Her" pelvic fins still seem rounded...size or gender difference? Why isn't she more yellow yet?!? I've only kept 2 different species of apistos, maybe 3 but as I recall the females would have been more yellow if not full-on bright yellow by now (regardless of the acorn species, lol). Her eye stripe seems more pronounced.

Totally could see how it looks like spit lol it's the bubble look.

I think they're the same though, the other started off sorta like a weird white growth too.

As for the apisto, I've definitely noticed she's got chunkier.

Not great photos, but can see her girth.

As for colour, no idea. Some of the fish in the tank are lighter colour. Could come down to the lighter coloured rocks, brighter lighting, and lack of background to the tank.

The cories have been spawning for the past 2 days.

Given its a first spawn, I'm leaving the eggs alone as they likely won't be as viable due to inexperience.

Go, Moka! I love her & she loves your tank!

My fingers are still crossed but "her" dorsal & anal fins seem to be getting longer & longer. The male looks great!

Your ever hopeful friend!

Yea i really miss having a cat. I doubt i'll get one but of all the options out there the only thing i keep thinking about is getting a nice kitten and training it to help me with the fishes ;)

Of course with a 10x4 aquarium i know the perfect place to give it a bath.
