Terrestrial plants for vampire crabs?

Hey, just wondering what plants, if any, I can put in with a half dozen vampire crabs. Got them in at 8$ a piece, they were in the mail for 3 days so the shipping is free, yet they were all very active and healthy (though one of them is missing an eye). So my main question is, are there any plants that can be grown in damp playsand that are safe for my new crabs to climb around on, hide in, and maybe nibble. I'd prefer lower light varieties if it's an option. Also, I wouldn't mind knowing if anyone has a real hit food for these guys? I know they'll eat nearly anything (right now they're mowing through a cube of thawed bloodworms), but is there anything in particular that's good for them that they'll devour? Should I have any of that dried moss in there? Any other tips are welcome too, especially anything good for breeding.

First off I'm envious because I can't get them over here...
but from what I've read, you can keep them in planted vivarium's similar to PDF set-ups.

All my crabs and shrimps love shelled peas. Plus I they go nuts over woodlice.
 
Man, New Zealand? I wouldn't be complaining, you probably get aquarium grade fish when you set down a minnow trap :) Guess I'll start looking at the plants they use with dart frogs.

LittleFishCompany, a Canadian-based wholesaler. I have a deal with a friend who runs the local pet store; I look after the fish, and I get fish at wholesale prices, a tank for my tank raised fish, inverts and plants, and hourly pay (though I only drop in for concentrated bouts of tank maintenance, so this doesn't really amount to much). A pretty sweet deal :)

Bacopa will grow out of water? I just got some, and frankly, my water sprite has much firmer stems.

depends on the type of bacopa. I have some that prefers to grow as a floating plant, but will root on land, or send roots down towards the substrate under water. I have mine rooted on land, and they trail into the water. I support the larger bunch of them with a small piece of cork that floats under them, just keeping them up. I've got a ton if you want to buy a few stems or something.

yeah, that's a way different bacopa than what I have, jpappy... but that looks nice too. Mine flowers with white flowers, but not nearly as many as that, and very very seldomly.

Looks like it's worth a try once I get it growing nicely. If I can get it looking good, I'll post some pics ;)
