What's a good community fish?

I am rehoming my auratus so I will have a free 29. It has a sand substrate with drift wood that is covered in Java Moss and piles of rocks here and there. It currently has three large Briggs and some MTS and I would like to add some RCS. My question is I have only ever dealt with semi-aggressives and want to put some non-aggressive schoolers in this tank that will be okay with the shrimp, as I really want invert only but I can't break my fishy habit?

My german blue ram has been great in my community tank. He's in with harlequin rasboras which is visually a great combination IMO.

Could go with Khuli loaches... they're pretty cool, and should be fine with inverts.

I would like some cories on there they don't seem to bother my baby Briggs in onw of my other tanks. NO, NO on the loaches I want mainly inverts. I am thinking maybe serpae tetras.

Freshwater snail, often times called mystery snails. Most fish stores should have some available, plus a few members around AC sells them.
