Large hermits will do that. They are rather strong and will turn over bigger and bigger rocks as they grow.

If they think there is food underneath they'll flip it over. For your size crabs...consider anything 5x their shell size fair game.

That sucks, I stick with smaller ones for reasons like that 75% dwarf's, 25% electric blue/orange tips small enough that the only damage they do is to snails and each other occasionally.

I guess that's why larger hermits have a bad reputation. I only have smal blue legged hermits in my tank.

Then again my lobster is giving me troubles lately!
