Its been 5 weeks today since the outbreak of the dino so i thought it was time that i gave you an update, so you can see how my tank is coming along.

Since i finished the above article i put all the treatments which i list above into practice except i made one change and that was photoperiod (lighting) i still had the 24hr blackout followed by a decreased lighting period of 5hrs but with a small change, after the first 24hr blackout i left the lights on for a few days and then had a 48hr blackout which did concern me as my corals where already in a weakened state but i thought what the hell and went for it and i am pleased to say it looks like its working. Here are some pics of my tank taken today with the lights on:

As you can see from the pics its a major improvement and with any luck i should have an algae free tank in the next couple of weeks i'm going to continue with the above treatment untill all the algae has died off and I'll post more pics along with another update as and when.
