I have a 30 Gallon Hex tank and I am looking for some options. I posted in the General Freshwater and I got one idea I really liked after some research.

1 Dwarf Gourami
2 Apisto borellii
Fancy Guppies (Not sure on number yet)

What do you think? I know Hex tanks are not the best for swim space but I got the tank about 4 years ago and I would like to use it again. Just looking for best options.
Any other ideas?

Also I read that Apisto Borelli are sensitive to water conditions. Just wondering if they are a hard fish to keep. Would Keyhole Cichlids work in my tank or are they a bit big?

I am not in any rush here but I just wanted to play around with a few ideas.
Thank you!

I would probably do a pared down version of my 29g: 1-2 Bolivian rams (pretty hardy), 1 female betta, 6 small schoolers -- like harlequin rasboras....

Hope that helps!

Awesome! Thank you so much. I really like Rams but I always thought they were tough to keep for some reason. I will look into them a little more.

I've read that German Blue Rams are sensitive, but Bolivian Rams less so....Good luck!

both are pretty hardy, I've never had problems with either and they are so much fun to watch! German Blues are easier to find at local stores, I hardley ever see bolivians even though they are awesome!

Good luck!

Thank you! I am going just to look at fish this weekend. We have a big fish store by us called World of fish. I am hoping to see some of the fish on my list. Not ready to buy any yet but It should be fun anyway.

I like the 29g with bolivian rams and harlequins... <3
