in your house!!
Well my adventure to a 30 gallon SW is comeing to an end. I have lost 3 of my 5 critters i bought for it and cant for the life of me see the problem. A yellow tang, 1 of my clown pair and a star fish. Anyways i decided to come back to freshwater. I would like to do an amazon themed(not a biotope though) aquarium with a Blue Ram pair, a school of Tetres(not sure yet mabye neons or lemons), a gold spotted(nugget mabye?) and some other sort of exotic looking fish. I was looking at headstanders but i didnt see any that would suit a standard 30 with the other fish i want. Any suggestions for exotic looking ones would be much appreciated. I was also looking to heavily plant it but i want to cover my entire back of my tank. The jungle vals havent gotten much hieght and arent looking their best in my 10 gallon. Thx for any help its much appreciated.

a pearl gouramie sounds like a great idea! thx joel :)

so would

10 neon tetras
pair of rams
1 pearl gouramie
1 gold nugget pleco

work in my 30 gallon standard?

1) a 30 gal is too small for a yellow tang.
2) Starfishes are very difficult to accliamte (must be done via drip).
3) Some star are impossible too keep.

PSS--When did Gouramis become part of a SA theme??

i was gonna upgrade the tank they were still babies. the starfish i had kept for 4 months actually he lost 2 of his arms though, but lived a nother month afterwards. anyways i just like the gouramie itll look cool with the other fish even though hes not an SA.

For fish ideas I usually check out websites like www.thatfishplace.com, or the live aquaria section at Drs. Foster and Smith. Even though I don't buy fish from them, I get ideas on what is available.

I used to have lemons. Thy are very pretty However mine didn't stay in a school. I personally like black tetras. I also have 5 Brilliant Rasboras. Mine stay in a very tight school. What about a school of cory's?

Good luck
