One of my tanks, a 10 gallon only has 5 Zebra Danios in it. I wanted to "liven it up" with something, and was thinking of a colorful male betta. Do you think the zebras will get along with the long finned Betta? :hang:

I was thinking about this too.

I'm thinking its going to be more of a trial-and-error situation. I've had my danios for almost a year now and thier tails have grown so much, they're almost like a flowing guppy tail or something.

I'm not sure if the danios would go for the bettas fins, or vice versa. The danios are very fast though, so if the betta were to go for them, it'd be tough for him to catch them.

It depends both those types of fish are unpredictable. The danios might nip him but they might not it depends on the fish. On the other hand you might get a really aggresive betta. I would try it but make sure you have a backup plan incase it doesn't work out.
