Nope. Best kept with other aggressive loaches. Clowns are just too peaceful to be bothered by such aggressions noted from the modestas. Skunks, lecontei, eos, caudipunctatus, longidorsalis and possibly syncrossus.

Definitely no. Despite having a very similar body shape behaviour wize they are completely different.
Clowns have their own in-species social structure which may be settled by fighting. Yasuhikotakia modesta are the same but the Alpha loach will maintain its position of power with a seriously bad attitude that extends outside the species. Very likely to attack other species in the aquarium.
Modesta tend to be more secretive than Chromobotia macracanthus and if anything more nocturnal in nature.
