okay, before i start, i will let you know all possible egglayers in my tank. i have 2 trumpet snails(very small), 1 apple snail(full grown) and about 30 million ramshorn snails(all very small...a few hitch hiked to my tank and then went out of control!!!!!)
on sunday night i did my regular weekly water change, and today when i came home from the nursing center i found a big pink thing!!! its right up under the rim of my tank, and is only in the water a little bit. at first i thought there were apple(mystery) snail eggs, but there is only 1 in there, and its been alone for a few months. i dont really know anything about trumpet snails, because they also hitch hiked to my tank.
so here is the complete detail of the eggs, since i cant give you a pic....
its about as wide and thick as my middle finger, its pink with like balls(eggs sacks i guess)i didnt want to ruin the eggs, so i just barely touched it, and found out it is like as hard as a rock.

what kind of eggs are these, and how can i make sure they will hatch???
do they need to be completely under, or out of water....ect.
thanks to anyone who can figure this out!

I think it should be eggs from your apple snail... do you know the exact species? Most of them lay eggs above the water surface, and I know they can store sperm for month, but sometimes they lay infertile eggs.
Also the Trumpet snail? Is it a malaysian trumpet snail? Those would be live bearing.
Ramshorn eggs are more yellowish to my knowlege.

Here is a link with some info on snails... I am not sure if all the info is correct, but maybe it will help you.
