just got a new tank 20L I was wondering about who i can fit in there. I have 4 platy's I'm cycling with, and I'd like to have a school of 6 julie corys, a school of 6 tetras(side note: i had been intending to get flame tetras but it has now occured to me they're in the same color scheme as my sunburst platys so i want to find a species in blue or green, etc. any suggestions would be welcome) Would it be overdoing it to add a bushy-nosed ancistrus. Thanks for the help in advance!

Cardinal or neon tetras are red and blue. I dont know of any green species

I've been reading some stuff from the other forums nad now I'm wondering if i could have clown loaches? I know my tank is on the small side for them is there any scenario that i could accomidatea pair of them? thanks again

Yes, if you would like to get a 75g+ tank :) !! If you plan on keeping the platys, I would not get a school of tetras. If I converted correctly, this is around a 12-15 gallon tank. 6 corys and 4 platys is already the max IMO :)

I'm not much for "normal" fish but If I did have small fish I would probably have black skirt tetra's. However their not the color your looking for. I used to keep some puffers in a 20L. 3 figure 8's, then I sold it to my friend to get my 46. Good Luck with your tank!

:duh: Thought it might have been liters!! Are green barbs actually green? My LFS never has them, but I hear good things about them. Smaller and not as aggressive as tigers.

yes they are green and they have a tinge of red at the end of thier tails but id say there as aggressive as tiger barbs since ive had them and they act the same alike but with different colours instead. if you dont want aggressive barbs get some cherry barbs there totally harmless.

They are selling "Green Neon Tetra" here, different from Neon Tetra. Less red, more blue, some green.

Got me thinking should i just get 6 green neons and 6 cardinal instead of 10 cardinal tetra?

Got the pics from this site.
