You mean inside or around the pond?

If you mean outside I recommend foot freind ground cover around to cover up some liner/hard edges. Some of the plants are irish moss, brass buttons, silver mound, dragon's blood (awesome plant),chicks and hens, purple ice plant, phlox, creeping speedwell, ivy, blackie sweet potato vine. There are tons of plants to put around your pond.

Inside your pond you need submerged plants (some will help provide oxygen, and all will compete with algae for nutrients) some of these include eleoda(anacharis), parrots feather, mare's tail, Vallisneria, hornwort, cabomba, red ludwiga.

Floating plants also help keep water clean by consuming nutrients. The best are water hyacinth, water lettuce,Frogbit,Azolla(my fish love to eat it).

Then of course the master of all pond plants the water lily. A must have plant. You can also look into water lotus. These plants are equally as stunning. If you plan on keeping your plants over winter get "hardy" water lilys.

Good Luck :)

Its true I did the mistake of trying to have goldfish in an outdoor 300 gal pond and they definitly eat fish,,Turtles for all their benevolant appearance are carnivorous reptiles that should be understood and treated as such, they may not be aggressive but they sure include other fish in their diet.
