what is the appropriate set up for a painted turtle?

could anyone ell me if a painted turtle is an ok beginners turtle or i mean do they require bigger than a 30 gal?

All aquatic Turtles require min a 75 gallon tank and a large filter. Turtles are the most expensive reptile to keep due to their requirements.

I agree that painted turtles need more room then what that tank provides. 75+ gallons is a good start. There are a few turtle species out there that could live in a tank as small as a 40 gallon breeder such as some Musk and Mud Turtle species but the more room the better. They will use all the room that you provide them with.
