Very Large Pleco for sale!!

I bought a baby 1-2" common pleco about 3.5 yrs. ago and now he is almost 11.5" long, and 2.34" thick. He is getting a little to aggressive for my other fish. The pleco is eating on algae wafers, cichlid pellets, and his favorite freeze-dried bloodworms. He is housed with a few pictus catfish, and another large pleco.

For size comparison, he is laying on a breeding slate!!!

He is for pickup in Wilmington, NC.

I will ship to you if you provide the shipping box, bags, etc.. ( shipping would be very expensive!!)

I am asking $35 obo for him.

And the pleco isn't that large. I see them all the time at my lfs around 15" and longer. They can't give them away, nobody wants them. They only ask $20 too and still they don't sell them.

They didn't spend 3.5 years raising their plecos. I bought him for $5.99 as a baby ( about 1.5"), so I thought that is was a great deal. Prices of the common plecos depend on where you live. At our pet stores, the biggest pleco I have ever seen is about 5.5" long and they were asking $11.99 for it, and it was skinny, and it's scales were coming off. ( and no, it didn't sell).

If you want a little return on your investment spend a little more and buy the fancy pleco. A large royal or GN can easily fetch $150 or more. A large common pleco, unfortunately, you can't even give it away.

Actually, I do want to buy a colony of plecos. Either yellow king tigers, or golden nugget plecos. I use to have some some, but I moved and had to sale all my plecos. I had 4 Imperial king tiger plecos, 4 golden nugget plecos, and 4 royal plecos. All were between 3-4" long. Thanks.
