Vallisneria spiralis, who has it and is it easy to grow?

I also need to know if ym tank will be ok for it. ( see sig) How do I plant it?
I have gravel, so will this be ok in gravel? and do I need to weigh it down? I am so not a person with a green thumb!
I need to have plants that will grow!! even my java moss looks like crap, but my litte java fern is doing ok. its floating around the tank, getting the top light. I want some live plants in my tank, but I have gravel, so what can I plant? or tell me what to put in my posts to so I can add plants to the posts? ( what kind of medium for the pots)

I think adding some live plants would make this tank better. all my plants are fake.

you need to bump up the lighting if you want to have a wide range of plants, or you can do lowlight plants (like the other post) gravel is pretty good for plants but you can suppliment it with laterite for the swords who have the most root intake. spiral val isan ok plant but its a moderate grower compaired to the jungle vals..
