I noticed that one of my Black Widow is starting to develop some black moles on his body. the biggest is on what you could call his chin. There are a few other spots on his body as well but are much smaller.

I have checked out my other Black Widows and cannot find anything on them or any of my other fish.

I am just curious as to what this may be. Unfortunately I do not have a working camera so I cannot provide a visual as to what they look like. The lil' guy seems to be fine. It eats, sleeps, poos, and swims happily with all the other fish.

Any thoughts would be MUCH appreciated! Thank you, Mike

A few of my Black Skirt Tetra have this black growth on their chins also. Not sure what it is, but they seem healthy otherwise.

I guess that could be. Ive had these same fish for over a year and havent seen them scrap since i first added them to my tank.

I will keep an eye on the one that has the black bumps/mole. If i see them fighting, I will send them to detention!

Do you have any pics of what your talking about? I had some Colombian Tetras for a while... got rid of them because they were too aggressive, but they something that sounds like what you are describing. I don't have any pics of them, and since I don't have them anymore I can't take a pic, but I'd like to see what your talking about.

Unfortunately I dont have a camera. Otherwise I would have posted a picture because that just makes it 100x easier to describe what I am talking about. If I can get a picture, I am going to. Even if this is resolved. That way others can see what it was and read these posts and have a solution for it rather than 10 ppl making 10 threads.

I will get back to you on the picture.

Ive had this same issue with my blackskirts no idea what it was but it gradually got worse and all my blackskirts seem to get it. The spots seemed to have no ill effect although one of them looked pretty bad
