Ughh. Just came from the lfs

Im from New york and here we have 2 petcos, in one the aquatic department is somewhat looked after but you still see occasional corpses either being stuck to the filter or being devoured by other fish. Thats probably one main reason why i dont like to buy fish in petco, even if some amazingly beautiful/rare/cheap fish i would still not risk buying a fish thats in the tank with 4-8 casualties.. Then theres another Petco which they have recently opened up. There WOW.. forget about ever being serviced.. On more than one occasion i was in the aquatic department for 30-40 min and not once have i had anyone come up to me and ask me for help, and when i did try and look around for help there was no one around at all. I had to go to the register and ask them for help and then they just sent some random worker to help me with my purchase and he wasnt much of help.. and once again their tanks had soooooooooooooooooooo many uncared for fish..

got so many stories..

I was at Walmart tonight. I always look in their tanks and cups, but never buy there. Tonight there was a koi (get 2 feet long or more) in with the fantails (6"). Would have told someone, but there was no one working there.

I'm in Oklahoma (aka middle of NOWHERE land) and we have like 2 fish stores and petcos... Won't even talk about my petco... There was a clown loach there the other day so covered in ich that it looked like 3 sshades lighter... *shudder*

I've never been to a petco with good fishcare. But, all the walmarts near me remodeled their pet sections so that they no longer sell fish... What a relief!

well they did a good thing.. its either handle that department the right way or dont have it at all.. But i mean its sad that a store thats FOR PETS has no clue on what the heck they are doing..
