Turtle tank

My friend is setting up a new tank for her turtle, it will be approx 2ft x 2ft x 6in water. I recommended a 100W Ebo Jager submersible heater and a Fluval Plus 1 underwater filter. Since I don't know anything about turtles, is there anything glaringly wrong with this? Thanks

what size is the turtle, and what type of light or lamp will go on top? aquatic turtles use water to cool themselves, so only a mild heater is necessary, but be sure there is a way for the turtle to climb out and get warm with a lamp or a heat rock. This mimics the conditions they find in the wild (the stair-stacked turtles sitting on a log in the middle of a pond in summer). the same is true of less-aquatic turtles, but I am less experienced with those.

Thanks for the replies. I know the water will be shallow and there will be some kind of rock to climb up on, and I'm pretty sure she'll have a lamp. I was just wondering if the filter is ok.

I never had a heater in the water when I had turtle but rather a reptile lamp so he could bask ( turtles raise their body tmep by basking rather than by water temp) and I used an undergravel filter with no problems. it's what I would use again, unless better information was provided to me.
