Trading fish into Petsmart

Say i want to switch my tank to something else such as cichlid to community. Petsmart is the only fish store near me. Will petsmart take fish in trade for others? Please let me know if you have any idea. Thanks

When i wanted to trade/give fish i went to a smaller lfs and the guy helped me out. I really doubt petsmart will take your fish, they wont even order fish for me.
Surely, if you have a petsmart there has to be a fish store somewhere around, but I could be wrong.

Your best bet is to call and ask them first. If they say yes, make sure to get the name of the employee you spoke with.

Check around a little more for local fish stores, I don't know where you live, but you may be surprised at how many mom & pop stores are around but you just don't see them.

The Petsmart closest to me refuses to take in any fish at all, either for credit or simply to take unwanted fish. The Petco generally accepts almost anything that they have room for, and the more specialty shops are good for haggling with.
