Anyone here use Titanium heaters?
Pros?
Cons?
I have 2 Visa Therm Deluxe Heaters in a 125 gal tank and have a hard time maintaining 83 degrees,it always seems lower. So I was thinking about replacing them with some Titanium heaters from Dr Fosters. Brand = Azoo

Anybody ?

how powerful are your heaters? you may need to add another, but unless you are keeping discus or rams, keeping the water just under 83º should be fine.

They are 300 watts apiece
Yes,this is a Discus tank

I have a 300 watt titanium heater in my 80g puffer tank. The water is a constant 76* and it has been running great for around 8 months I believe.

I have been useing a ViaAqua heater for about 8 months and love it, when I need to replace the heaters in my other tanks I will go with nothing but Titanium heaters. I dont know anything about the Azoo heaters but alot of people around here claim that the Finnex heaters are the best out there

I use a ViaAqua 300w titanium and a Marineland 200w on my 125. My tanks are in my basement which is a constant 70 degrees. I keep my tanks around 78. They have no problem maintaining temps. I would imagine if I tried to keep my tank @ 82 they would be on all the time. If money was not an object I would have a fireplug heater . Someday!

I purchased a Fish Cue TI-Heater/ IC Titanium Heater from Marine Depot after a run of bad luck and mishaps with a series of glass heaters. I really like them a lot and not just for their crash worthiness. Each controller can run up to 500W (Two tubes @ 250W) and there is a separate probe for the thermostat so it can be placed away from the heating tubes. I've only had them for about two months now but they have been performing well.
